10 Best It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Characters Only In One Episode

6. Sinbad

90s era comedian Sinbad has retained a steady (if small) following since his heyday, and his turn in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia showed exactly why fans have stuck with him.

Sinbad plays himself, though technically it’s just Dennis’ hallucinated version of him. Set in a rehab clinic, Sinbad’s crazed performance makes life hell for Dennis and he wrings every last drop of humour out of every scene he’s in.

Normally the Gang (Charlie especially) are the wildcards, with everyone they meet struggling to put up with them. Sinbad, though, completely flips the script on Dennis, and becomes a stand out guest star in the process.

He’s not the only celebrity to play himself (or a version of himself) in the show either. He’s joined by Rob Thomas from Matchbox Twenty in his episode, while a variety of Philly sport stars and a knock-off Tiger Woods have featured too.

Richard Grieco and Scott Bakula both play washed up versions of themselves, with Grieco starring in an erotic movie and Bakula a janitor. Both play great parts and are unlucky to miss out here amongst stiff competition.
