10 Best Jobs Homer Simpson Has Ever Had

Homer being a member of the B-Sharps is probably one of his best known jobs, but that’s not the only time he’s made a living off his voice. In Season 19’s Homer Of Seville, he became an opera singer too, but one who could only sing while laid on his back.

There’s a couple of good moments in that episode, but in general it’s very meh. It’s safe to say that on its own, Homer’s time in the opera limelight wouldn’t have qualified him here amidst his many, many jobs. As a member of the B-Sharps though? He practically guaranteed himself a spot here.

Along with Barney, Skinner, Apu and former member Chief Wiggum (the Pete Best of their Beatles parody), Homer is on top form here. The jokes flow naturally through the episode, each character’s role is clearly defined, and the songs are catchy as heck too.

It’s just a brilliant episode all around, and it should be no surprise that it remains one of their most notable episodes and arguably Homer’s most iconic job. Homer Of Seville perhaps proved that Homer’s music career wasn’t really due a comeback though.
