3. Korra Bridges The Spirit And Human Worlds - Light In The Dark

Legend of Korra
Nickelodeon Animation Studio

If there's one thing Korra definitely has over Aang as an avatar, it's that she's a WAY better bridge between the spirit and human worlds. Mainly because she realises that the only way to be a proper bridge, is to bring down the walls.

Aang was great as an avatar when it came to the human world, but he basically screwed up at almost every turn when it came to communing with spirits.

No offence to the kid, but when I punch in "scares off the only openly benevolent to humans spirit - Wan Shi Tong - from our world and makes him despise all humanity" into my calculator, it sends back "you kinda suck at this".

Korra, on the other hand, does NOT suck at this, and so sees the whole separation of the human and spiritual world as the farce that it is. So when harmonic convergence comes along, she uses it to not only rejigger a new avatar cycle with her as the new starting point, but also bridge the human and spirit worlds back together as they always should have been.

Oh, and this also brings back the airbenders, but that was unintentional so whatever.
