10 Best Minor Seinfeld Characters

8. Timmy (Dip & Chip)

Seinfeld Timmy
NBC

It has long been established that George Costanza is a miserly idiot and a coward, which is what makes George the perfect supporting character in Seinfeld. But, when he goes with his current girlfriend to her Aunt's wake in Detroit, it also proved that he is also fairly disgusting.

At the wake, when trying to get hold of a death certificate in order to get a reduction of his air-fare, he picks up a chip and dips in it the dip - eats the dipped part - before going back for more dip.

It enrages Timmy who confronts George about his unhygienic habit, which George then plays off as something that he likes to do and does it again, it results in a fistfight between the two.

The reason why Timmy is brilliant is because he is so angry at what George is doing in the most inappropriate time and place, yet he is totally right and justified in his disgust. The audience grimaced as George continued to spread his germs in a communal dip and Timmy was all of us in confronting him over it.

He may have only had seconds on the screen but Timmy was a hero to all that believe in basic civility. Though his fistfight with George may not have been very civil, it was a case of George deserved it.
