10 Best Minor Seinfeld Characters
7. Duncan Meyer (The Race)
The legend of Jerry's speed is known to all Seinfeld fans around the world twice over. His epic (yet fraudulent) defeat of Duncan Meyer in a high school race went down in Seinfeld history as one of the funniest stories Jerry has ever relayed. However, when Duncan Meyer ran into Jerry 25 years later and turned out to be Jerry's girlfriend's boss, he was forced to run a race against Meyer again.
Duncan Meyer was so obsessed with the fact that Jerry couldn't have beaten him in high school that he almost becomes manic over getting Jerry to race him again. Of course, as the audience, we know that Jerry had a head start in high school and that he would probably lose if forced to run.
Meyer even promises Lois (Jerry's current girlfriend) a paid vacation to Hawaii if Jerry wins. Which is why this man's pain is just so funny, as he probably was the better runner, probably was the faster of the two, but Jerry was the luckier and when a car backfires on the starters line he takes that as the pistol and sets off.
Meyer again loses by a fair distance and is crying afoul at his second loss, after all his pressuring and belief that he was the faster of the two he was once again beaten by a lucky Seinfeld.
