8. Goodbye Powder, Hello Jinx!
Time jumps are the kind of thing that can be handled very poorly, but in the case of Arcane, it - shockingly - nails it. After skipping ahead a few years, viewers were keen to see what had happened to little Powder, as the last time they'd seen her, she was in the arms of the dangerous Silco. Well, they got what they wanted, and it was quite a reveal.
After Firelights attack a cargo ship delivering Shimmer, they bite off more than they can chew, as the terrifying Jinx makes her first appearance and tears them all apart. The former Powder's explosives are fully operational now, and she puts them to good use, massacring the group and completely shedding the meek and timid skin she once had.
Besides establishing what has happened to Powder and conveying her decaying mental state, the scene simply looks incredible. The motion of the action, Jinx's design, and the manic flashes when she mistakes a Firelight for Vi all come together to paint a dizzying yet exciting picture.
