10 Best Movie Parodies In South Park
8. The Silence Of The Lambs
Turns out if you take all the talk about cannibalism, mutilation, and murder from a police procedural and replace that with speeches about covering someone's house with toilet paper, it's really, really funny.
Season Seven's "Toilet Paper" does just that. This offers the first and only appearance of new character Josh Myers, serving as a stand in for Hannibal Lecter. However, in South Park, he is a serious threat when using toilet paper.
The boys are given detention and want revenge on the teacher by covering her house in rolls of paper. Kyle is racked with guilt, and Cartman feels like they may need to dispose of him. There's a couple of bonus spoofs in the form of Scarface: "We didn't say nothing about no kinds man!"as well as The Godfather Part 2. Cartman tries to literally whack Kyle with a whiffle bat and dump his body in the water, similar to Fredo's demise.
But it's officer Barbrady's conversations with Josh that steals the show: a perfect spoof of Lecter conversing with Clarice. Josh is able to get inside Barbrady's head, tormenting him about his past failings, whilst being able to over analyse the behaviour of the ones who threw the toilet paper.
