Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland), the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development becomes the President of the United States after an explosion kills the President and all of the people who could succeed him.

The show is fast-paced, and delivers equal amounts action and drama. Sutherland brings his A-game to this new role, and the supporting cast follows closely, as this new series delves into the world of politics and disaster, and presents a real take on the scenario at hand. Kirkman deals with his newly-given position while the rest of the White House stumbles and falls as they deal with the disaster that occurred.

The show is ongoing, and has so far done a great job of setting the tone of the show through the characters, the difficulties, and the enemy behind the attacks. Lets hope the writing and acting continues to excel and bring us a full, captivating first season.

I like to think of myself as a world traveler and social butterfly, although I do spend a lot of my time watching the latest Japanese anime series, sitcoms, movies, and drama series. I live on the island of Crete, where I was born, and enjoy walking on the beach with my little cocker spaniel, Molly, when I'm not writing for WhatCulture.com and UNILAD.co.uk.
