10 Best Nickelodeon Live-Action Shows

10. Romeo!

Large RomeoSeries Run: 2003-2006 (53 episodes) Remember that song "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" No? Good. Master P was kind of a rapper (more of a talker, really), but he was one of the first black artists to become a successful entrepreneur. One of his money-making schemes was to bless the world with the talents of his son, and that boy was Percy Romeo Miller Jr. aka Lil' Romeo. For clarification, Lil' Romeo is a former child star and rapper who starred on the TV show Romeo! and went on to play NCAA Division 1 basketball, Lil' Bow Wow is a former child star and rapper who starred in the movie Like Mike, about a kid who gets magical basketball powers from wearing Michael Jordan's shoes. The amount of words it took me to get to talking about the show Romeo! is probably a sign of how good it was, it was cheesy and featured the terrible acting of Master P as the titular character's father. But despite the fact that it had almost everything going against it, Romeo! was actually an enjoyable show and was easily watchable when there was nothing else on. The show was structured around the concept that the Millers had a family band that would play together, but it was really about Lil' Romeo starting hare-brained schemes that go terribly wrong. Also featuring the rare instance of a white kid being adopted by a black family (which made for some actually interesting comedy), Romeo! was a fun show that didn't require much thinking.
