7. Chekov's Gun
Which Episode It Can Be Found In: Training Day In order to turn ISIS accountant Cyril Figgis into a real field agent, Archer hires the call girl Trinette to stand in for a spy during training. After accidentally poisoning Trinette with a poison pen, mentioned many times for having a cap that slips off for like no reason, Archer makes a reference to Chekov's gun not needing to actually be fired. This is a reference to the theatrical principal observed from the works of Anton Chekov. It states that if you say in the first act of a play that there is a gun hanging on the wall, it absolutely must be used later in the production or should not be there. Archer also reminds Cyril that after they are dead, a call girl is just called a hooker.
