10 Best Performances In Better Call Saul

8. Giancarlo Esposito - Gus Fring

One of many prominent actors to cross over from Breaking Bad, Giancarlo Esposito is an absolute force of nature in Better Call Saul, finding ample opportunity to remind fans just how dangerous and deceptive the Chicken Man really is.

In many ways, Esposito's performance as Gus Fring in Better Call Saul is even more compelling than it was in Breaking Bad, mainly because he's given more chances to explore the method behind his empire and the intelligent, terrifying way he's able to manipulate and read people.

Able to switch within a scene between charming and seemingly kind-hearted to remorseless and cruel, Esposito slips into the role once more without missing a beat, his emotionless face, shifting eyes, and cold voice impossible to forget.

Between his relationship with Mike to his dealings with the vengeful Salamancas, Gus remains a villain for the ages, unflappable and reserved and, thanks to Esposito, totally believable in all his malevolence.
