10 Best Performances In Better Call Saul

9. Mark Margolis - Hector Salamanca

Better Call Saul Kim
AMC

A recurring theme with the best Better Call Saul actors is how great they are at using their faces to convey emotion, often without dialogue. But perhaps no one is better at that than Hector Salamanca's Mark Margolis.

Initially introduced before his stroke, his first days on the show are characterised by the ability to the speak, showing just how intimidating, feared, and powerful he once was. Margolis sells him for all his rage and arrogance, painting him in a new light that's impossible to shake.

After season three, Margolis is confined once more to a chair, with just a bell to communicate after a devastating stroke, and he once again makes Hector an absolute terror with just his menacing glare and wicked snarl.

Hector is one of the franchise's most important villains, and despite his limited mobility Margolis makes it abundantly clear why. When he grimaces and hits that bell, it gives you goosebumps every damn time.
