10 Best Person Of Interest Episodes
5. The Crossing
From the moment Reese's number came up, The Crossing created a gripping atmosphere of impending doom, as it became clear that HR wouldn't go down without a bitter fight. Thanks to the army of dirty cops between Quinn and the FBI building, not to mention the fact that most of New York’s criminals were trying to hunt down “the Man in the Suit”, the situation was grim, and became even more so after Fusco fell into Simmons’ grasp.
The scenes featuring the captive Fusco were shockingly intense, as he was forced to endure horrific torture and the threat of his son's murder, and ultimately turned the tables on his captors through a painful sacrifice. Kevin Chapman's acting was unbelievably raw and honest, and represented the best performance in the entire show.
The Crossing did an excellent job of building on the relationships between the core cast, as Reese and Carter shared stories in the morgue, Fusco and Shaw developed trust and respect in each other, and Root consoled Finch over his impending loss in a moment of terrifying tenderness. HR’s destruction was a wonderful triumph for Carter and her friends, but the episode had a final cruel twist in store when she was murdered by a vengeful Simmons at its conclusion.
