Matt Groening changed TV animation forever with his now legendary series, The Simpsons, which is still producing new episodes. But he has also had other animated series, the most recent new one being Netflix's Disenchantment. Before that, there was the fan favorite series Futurama.

In 1999, delivery boy Philip J. Fry accidently ended up in cryogenic stasis. He woke up on New Year's Eve, 2999. The unrelenting moron befriended a suicidal drunken robot named Bender Bending Rodriguez and a cyclops named Leela. They all ended up working at Planet Express, a delivery company run by Fry's descendant, Professor Farnsworth.

The show was a seamless mix of old school science fiction and modern comedy. Writing for the show was snappy as was the voice acting, leading to a lot of critical accolades and a strong cult following. After being cancelled by Fox in 2003, the series was resurrected by Comedy Central in 2008 thanks to the undying love of the show's fans.
