In a nutshell, the show follows The Doctor, an alien Time Lord, alongside a whole host of varying companions as they travel the universe in the TARDIS, a time-travelling spaceship, in order to provide help to those in need.
Doctor Who features episodes in space, on new planets, and within different eras of Earth across a mammoth thirty-eight seasons and over eight hundred and sixty episodes.
First airing in 1963, the show has had thirteen actors take the mantle of the hugely popular protagonist, with the most current being Jodie Whittaker, who also happens to be the first ever female rendition. Each Doctor has their own unique style, personality, and wardrobe which offers a fresh take with each portrayal.
