The Contest pitches the whole cast together once again, this time to see who can win a battle of self control.
After George is caught in a compromising position by his mother that results in her ending up in the hospital, the four end up in a contest to see who is the ultimate "master of their domain".
Each of them are tempted into failing. Jerry's naked neighbour causes problems for Kramer. Elaine discovers John F. Kennedy Jr. is in her aerobics class and has a thing for her. George starts to regularly visit his mother in hospital to see the woman in the bed next to her have a sponge bath. Jerry is dating Marla, who as a virgin wants to wait to have sex.
The Contest is the perfect example of when the show brings the four main characters together with one thread of the storyline. We see each character's personalities perfectly and it's a genuinely funny episode with it's brilliant euphemisms.
