George finds himself pretending to be a marine biologist when Jerry tells a girl he liked in school that's what he does now. When the couple head to the coast, George finds himself being forced to step in and help a beached whale.
Elaine becomes excited when she gets to work with a Russian writer, although she doesn't make a good impression. She embarrasses herself when she tells him the fake story Jerry told her about War and Peace being originally called "War, What Is It Good For?". Then he throws her electric organiser out the window, hitting a passer-by.
Jerry meets the woman who is hit on the head by the organiser who says she's going to sue Elaine for compensation unless she can prove it was the writer instead.
Kramer comes into a large amount of golf balls and decides to hit them into the ocean; as George comes to learn later, with a consequence to the local marine life.
George's plight to date an attractive woman no matter how many lies he has to prove to do it, is exactly what we expect from him. The Marine Biologist does a great job of taking the individual storylines of each character and weaving them together to make a fantastic episode.
Jerry's observations of "Golden Boy", and George's great line about the sea being angry that day whilst regaling the gang with his whale story, help this episode go down in Seinfeld history.
