10 Best Sitcom Duos
4. Jim And Dwight - The US Office
The only thing better than two friends loving each other in sitcoms is two people who don't realise they're friends playing enemies. Of all the frenemy relationships on TV, Dwight and Jim might just be the cream of the crop.
The US Office was full of great dialogue and awkward comedy, but the pranks Jim performed on Dwight was a nice piece of goofy humour to keep the show's energy up. Jim simply loved to annoy Dwight, and for a while, they were arch-rivals, but it became clear that although they'd never say it, they meant a lot to each other.
Jim would antagonise Dwight, and Dwight would get frustrated with Jim, but their lives were brighter because of that dynamic. Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch would have been a lot less exciting if the two had never met, and after a while, they seemed to realise this too.
Their hostility made the sweeter moments in their dynamic all the more poignant. For example, when Jim admitted that he missed Dwight, or when they both vouched for each other as manager, and most importantly when Jim went out of his way to make Dwight's wedding special by bringing Michael back.
