10 Best Sitcom Duos

3. Troy And Abed - Community

Friends Joey And Chandler
NBC
"Troy and Abed in the mooooring".

Can you name another sitcom duo who have their own imaginary morning talk show? No? Didn't think so.

These two seemed like good friends in the first few episodes of Community, but not a pairing who would end up growing too close. Troy was a cool, but pretty dumb, jock, and Abed was a strange and unreadable geek. But, as soon as they rapped in Spanish together, it became clear that they were destined for greatness.

Troy and Abed became absolutely inseparable, and it led to them growing as characters. Abed helped Troy get in touch with his geekier side and live happily as his own man, whereas Troy helped Abed to come out of his shell and understand people better. The fact that Abed struggled with socialising made their friendship all the better, as Troy seemed to be one of the few people with the ability to understand him wholeheartedly.

If anything, the two were so close that it felt like they didn't have personalities outside of their pairing, which made it all the more exciting when you got to learn about one of them individually.
