3. Frozen Out
The one episode everyone remembers from this show, and by far one of the most emotional experiences the DCAU ever produced. While plenty of kids shows at the time acknowledged that homelessness was a thing, this episode goes further into it than any at the time, or since for that matter.
Static, already stressed out by the holiday season and all the commitments to his friends and loved ones he's made, is further frustrated by a new ice-based bang baby named Permafrost. A traumatized homeless girl who just wants someone to love her the way everyone else - warm in their homes - are being loved at Christmas.
This episode goes into everything from homelessness, to mental illness, to the ways in which the better off try to ignore problems. It challenges the viewer to extend charity to those who have missed out on it one too many times - not just during Christmas, but all year round too.
A perfect Christmas episode, and one that every DC fan should pop in when the holiday season rolls around.
