7. "Little Girl Lost Part II"
"Little Girl Lost" was a two-part episode bringing a close to the second season of the series. In the first part, Superman searches for life in the Kryptonian system, but finds only one person on a nearby planet. The young woman he found was none other than Kara In-Ze, the woman who would become Supergirl!
He takes her to Earth where she begins to acquire her Kryptonian powers and establish herself as a superhero. When the story picks up in part II, things begin to heat up and Supergirl transitions into an important character in the DCAU.
After Supergirl is KOd in a fight, Superman is captured and taken to Apokolips where he is tortured. Supergirl finds a Boomtube Generator and hops over to Apokolips where she gets into a fight with some Parademons, but is quickly taken out by Darkseid's Omega Beams. This provides enough of a distraction for Superman to reenter the fight and the two return to Earth to thwart Darkseid's plan to drop a comet on the planet.
After Supergirl destroys the magnet bringing the comet toward the planet, Superman shoves it away, but loses a chunk on a course for Metropolis because where else would it land on the planet? Supergirl manages to destroy the chunk at the last moment and saves the day.
