Much like Futurama, Red Dwarf has helped itself to many a slice of the time travel pie over the years, but backwards is by far the funniest. In this iconic episode, the crew stumble upon a version of Earth where time flows backwards. It's a simple concept, but Rob Grant and Doug Naylor get every ounce of comedy gold out of it. Literally everything is backwards. People walk backwards, talk backwards, commit crimes backwards (bank robbers give people money at gunpoint) and even drink backwards (they put their mouth to an empty glass and spew liquid into it). it all culminates in an epic bar room brawl that ends up tidying the bar. Lister getting punched and thrown through an empty window pane actually fixes his sore cheek and back. Oh, and let's not forget The Cat nipping to the bushes to answer a call of nature at the end of the episode, which clearly disturbs him to the core if his awkward, waddling walk to Starbug is anything to go by. "Don't ask", he says. Don't worry, Cat. We won't!
