Amy isn't the only one with a tough choice! Doctor Who is littered with many amazing time travel stories, but in the end we went with this brilliant episode from Season 5 as it's about a unique kind of time travel. The antagonist in Amy's Choice is the Dream Lord - a dude that shares The Doctor's love of bow ties (they are cool, after all) but otherwise hates his guts and wants to see him suffer. As his name implies, he can control dreams. The Doctor and his trusty companions find themselves constantly falling asleep and waking up in two different realities: in a freezing, dead TARDIS that's gradually moving towards a cold star; and in a sleepy rural village five years in the future, where the Ponds have settled down and are expecting their first child (and Rory has a ponytail for some reason). The Dream Lord tasks them with deciding which one is reality and which is a dream, essentially meaning that Amy has to choose between her quiet life with Rory and her timey-wimey adventuring life with The Doctor. When Rory dies by the hand of an elderly woman with an alien living inside her (don't ask) in the rural village reality, Amy decides that the TARDIS is what's real, and even if it isn't she has nothing to lose because poor Roy has snuffed it. In a twist ending, it turns out that psychic pollen was the culprit all along and both realities were in fact a dream created by The Doctor's dark imagination. Amy's Choice is an interesting story that keeps the viewer guessing right till the very end, while proving that Amy will always choose Rory even when he has a stupid ponytail.
