10 Best TV Antiheroes Of All Time
7. The Gang - It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
When you hear the term "antihero," chances are you're going to think about hard-hitting dramas or crime thrillers, but the truth is that antiheroes fit into every genre under the sun, even sitcoms.
Case in point: The Paddy's Pub Gang in Rob McElhenney's irreverent and seemingly never-ending comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Brought to life by a spotless cast which includes Oscar-nominee Danny DeVito, Charlie Day and Kaitlin Olson, the Gang has long been characterised as alcoholic, racist, misogynistic sociopaths who have zero regard for people's feelings or the social norms that surround them.
Throughout the show's fourteen seasons (as of this writing) they have either individually or collectively blown up a rival business, reduced a priest to a drug-addicted wreck, destroyed a family's house and faked the death of a baby for money.
But despite their many illegal antics, they're ignorance to their flaws and disturbing but lovable naivety has made them supremely popular over the years, even if they don't really deserve it.
