10 Best TV Trailers From Comic-Con 2016

2. Sherlock Series 4

After two incredible series, Sherlock started becoming more divisive during its third, with some attempts at humour feeling forced and out of place. That was compounded by the 'Victorian-set' Christmas special, which was fun right up until the point it started connecting to the modern day, and then just got utterly ridiculous.

The trailer for Series 4, however, gives evidence the show is really course correcting. Starting off with Moriarty's Series 3 ending 'Did you miss me?', it teases that "something's coming" and looks like being a pretty dark time for Sherlock. Toby Jones' villain looks suitably menacing (and a little mad), Mary's on assassin duty, and Mrs Hudson delivering that venomous "reptile" line is fantastic.

It promises that everyone will be tested, and that's certainly backed up by the footage, with some intriguing shots of a hospital, and this series looks like being heavy on the darkness, mystery, and really pushing Sherlock to his limits. The game is afoot.
