10 Best Young Justice Episodes
1. Misplaced - Season 1, Episode 19
Misplaced may seem like a filler episode as it doesn’t directly touch on any of the overreaching arcs. With that being said, it does showcase the kind of lives these young heroes actually have and the sacrifices that have to be made when becoming a superhero.
The episode starts out as Klarion unites with the other dark wizards of the world to make two realities - one that has all the adults disappear and the other that has all the children disappear.
The villains and heroes duke it out in some epic inter-dimensional battles led by the high flying Billy Batson aka Captain Marvel. We also end the episode with Zatara giving himself up to Doctor Fate to bring order and balance to the realms. It also adds some much-needed depth to Zatanna, whose character hasn’t been explored very much in the world of animation, save for a few brief cameos in Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League.
Ultimately, Misplaced has all the best elements of Young Justice rolled into one brilliant episode. It's a well put together chapter full character, and it still manages to move the overall narrative forward too.
