10 Big Film Stars Who Appeared In Doctor Who

2. Warwick Davis

When it comes to roles with specific requirements, the number of actors who can fulfil them often begins to diminish. Despite the fact that there aren't many big name stars who could fill the same shoes as Warwick Davis, it would be unfair to say that his rise to fame is thanks to his size alone. He was promoted from Ewok extra to lead role Wicket thanks to his ability to act through the teddy bear suit which caught George Lucas' eye when he needed a quick replacement after Kenny Baker became ill with food poisoning. Not bad for an actor who wasn't even a teenager at the time. Willow, released in 1988, not only gave Davis a chance to show his face as well as his talents, but was written with him in mind, and Davis was personally asked to meet with Lucas and Ron Howard to discuss the project. As well as all five of the original Leprechaun movies, he is also one of the few actors to have appeared in all eight Harry Potter films, portraying Professor Flitwick, amongst several other characters. Adding to the already impressive list of those he has worked with, Davis appeared in Neil Gaiman's second episode for the series season 7's Nightmare In Silver.
