10 Biggest Ongoing Criticisms Of The Walking Dead

1. Failing To Nail Climaxes

It'€™s unfortunate that more often than not, The Walking Dead's season and mid-season finales are met with a resounding €œthat€™s it?€ This year was no exception, when, as the hour began to tick down, and the hope for some thrilling conclusion began to go out the window, the realization dawned that the show had once again failed to provide a climax worthy of convincing viewers to tune back in.

This draws an eerie comparison to the Season 3 finale, in which all of the action hinged on Andrea€™s survival, of which the audience had no stake in. Or spending half a season getting to Terminus only to have the group immediately escape it. The show oozes tension but when it comes to actually sealing the deal with a big moment, it stumbles far more than it should.

It seems strange for a show as bombastic as this one to suffer from pacing issues but maybe that€™s just it. There€™s so much action and character revelations packed into each episode that sometimes they just run out of stuff to include, or simply thought it worked better earlier on. In any event, this still needs work, so fingers crossed for the finale.
