10 Biggest Rick & Morty Controversies

The internet has an amazing ability to read too far into things, coming to some questionable conclusions that are a far cry from reality. With its immense popularity, it's no surprise that Rick and Morty has suffered some of these misguided 'deep dives'.

The show has always poked fun at Nazi's since it's early days, making a strong statement against the resurgence of the alt-right. Dan Harmon even took to his podcast with an intense anti-Nazi rant in reaction to the tragic events in Charlottesville a few years back.

Yet as more and more references made their way into the show, critics started to question just why the show was so obsessed with including references to Hitler and his fascist followers.

Unsurprisingly, the attempts to uncover some sort of pro-Nazi agenda fell flat rather quickly. There is nothing in the segments that condones their actions or shows support for the current movement. In fact, most end in a violent lesson in not supporting their beliefs.

The fact is, the show likes to use the group as the butt of the joke. There's nothing more to read into about it, but that won't stop people from trying to 'uncover the truth'.
