10 Biggest Star Trek Battles We Never Got To See

1. The Battle Of Narendra III

This battle one of the most infamous and influential events in all of Star Trek’s history. The Klingon colony on Narendra III came under attack from four Romulan Warbirds in what seemed certain to be the latest chapter in the long-running bloody skirmishes between the two Empires. However, on this day, a Federation starship answered the Klingons’ distress call.

The Enterprise-C picked up the call and went to the aid of the Klingons, though it was hopelessly outmatched by the Romulan Warbirds. It fought as best as it could before being presumed lost with all hands. However, this was not the whole story. During the battle, the detonation of a weapon created a temporal rift.

The Enterprise drifted through into an alternate future. In escaping from the battle, relations with the Klingons deteriorated to the point of all-out war. By the time they emerged, Starfleet was facing total defeat. With the knowledge that the impact they could have on this future was negligible, but their impact on the past could change the course of history, the crew of the Enterprise-C elected to return to Narendra III and finish what they started.

Though this would put history to rights again between the Federation and the Klingons, it introduced a wildcard into the equation. An alternate version of Tasha Yar travelled back, leading to a domino effect wherein her daughter, Sela, was deeply immersed in the Klingon Civil War and the attempted invasion of Vulcan.
