The premise of this show is basically like every single high school comedy where people are cruelly tricked into believing that someone is in love with them. Boy Meets Boy is about a gay man who is on the show to find the love of his life. Kind of boring, sure, but nothing more egregious than The Bachelor. So what's the catch? Well, only half of the men on the show are actually gay. The other half are straight men pretending to be gay, and if they get chosen by the lead at the end of the show, they win a large cash prize. How screwed up is that? There's always a certain amount of dishonesty that goes along with these types of reality shows, but this one borders on sociopathic. You're spending the entire run of the program convincing a man that you're in love with him, when you actually have no interest in men. He's trying to find someone to spend the rest of his life with, and you're just there to muck up the works. Not cool, Boy Meets Boy. Not cool.
