Is it trashy to have a borderline creepy The Bachelor type situation about a girl and eight older men, where she spends the show trying to figure out which one of them is her father? Well yeah, probably, but get off your high horse and enjoy the ridiculousness while it lasts. Each week, the show features a different adopted child, determined to be reunited with their father. If they guess correctly, they win $100,000. If they guess incorrectly, the fake father that they chose wins the money. But, the production team hastens to add, they will still be reunited with their actual dad. The first and only aired episode finished fourth in the Nielsen ratings but was met with a firestorm of criticism, largely over their exploitation of adopted children. Press releases at the time promised a "five hanky moment" at the end of every single episode. Fortunately for the world, however, Fox elected to shelve the remaining episodes.
