8. Mr Microphone
Undoubtedly, 'Mr. Microphone' is the influence for 'The Simpsons' episode 'Radio Bart,' where Bart Simpson ends up down a well. Sadly, watching that episode is far more fun than the toy in question. Brainchild of 'Ronco' inventor Ron Popeil, 'Mr. Microhphone' allowed you to turn any FM radio into a transmitter, giving young kids and immature adults hours of inane fun; a toy for someone who likes the sound of their own voice, but it just isn't loud enough. Use it to scare your parents, be the next Orson Welles...your options are endless. In the advert someone resembling Screech from 'Saved By The Bell' leans out the car and cat calls a nearby female with the line "Hey good lookin, we'll be back to pick ya up later." For the sake of that poor girl, I hope they didn't return.
