This one is brief, but it would be absolutely brilliant. For years now, Doctor Who's show-runner Steven Moffat has been criticized for his increasingly self-indulgent writing (among other accusations of sexism and misogyny, but that's a different discussion) and for tampering with the Doctor Who canon (one of the rebooted Doctor's key character traits is that he's strongly implicated in the destruction of the planet Gallifrey, and the associated guilt and internal conflict that follows, but Moffat has since retconned that detail and revealed Gallifrey was never destroyed). Over the years there have been many fans crying out for fresh show-runner blood, but Moffat has continued to stick around. In 2016, however, he's going to step down. He may do one last series in 2016, but he'll announce that it's his last. Though he said in a 2015 interview with the Radio Times that he takes it a year a time he also confirmed that he's looking for a replacement. Moffat is likely being coy, and he's definitely going to leave in 2016.
