9. Captain Boomerang
The Captains trademark gimmick of throwing stuff may not seem interesting, but its proved to be effective against the Flash on multiple occasions. Digger Harkness, the first and most well-known Boomerang, became an expert in using and making boomerangs while living in poverty in Australia. While he first used his talents as a performer for a toy company making boomerangs, he was ridiculed one too many times and decided to start commit crimes using his trademark weapon. While Digger has often pulled heists with the Flash villains group The Rogues, he rose to prominence when he was forced to join the Suicide Squad, a U.S. government task force that pardons criminals in exchange for performing high-risk missions. Unfortunately for Digger, he was never good at these missions and when often chastised by the groups commander Amanda Waller for his cowardice and dysfunctional behavior with the other team members. I dont mind if the show keeps Digger using boomerangs, but they need to realize that in real-life, or at least the heightened reality of the TV world, the boomerangs are rarely going to be as accurate as they are in the comics. It might work better for Digger to be a general projectile expert with boomerangs being one of his useful tools. However, restrict his handling of guns. He might need them to get out of a few jams, but make sure he mostly uses projectiles he throws with his hands. More important is to keep his Suicide Squad history intact. In his first couple appearances he can stick to being a villain working on his own, but at some point he should be recruited into joining the task force, perhaps around the second or third season. Amanda Waller has already been introduced in Arrow as the head of ARGUS, and the executive producers of the show have hinted that well see the Suicide Squad sometime in the future. The group could be one of the catalysts of crossovers between the two shows, and Captain Boomerang should definitely be involved as a member of the group.
