10 Characters We'd Love To See On Once Upon a Time

9. Mushu (Mulan)

A comedic character who often provided some humour and levity to Mulan's moments of darkness, Mushu was a character with a lot of untapped potential - we never saw what actually happened if you truly made him mad or if he unleashed his full powers as a guardian, something the show could easily cover in a Mulan-centric episode. More interestingly, the show could place Mushu as a transformed Storybrooke character, similar to Jiminy Cricket's story, and have he and Mulan separated by their different worlds, she unaware of his now human nature and he unable to find her and wondering what is going. As for dream human casting, we'd love someone actually of Asian origin (rather than the African-American Eddie Murphy, Mushu's original voice) and for the cute humour and sweetness that Mushu embodied, we'd opt for the adorable Osric Chau.
