10 Confusing Game Of Thrones Moments Nobody Understands

1. Why Do The White Walkers Need Babies?

The Night's King is an enigmatic character in the Game Of Thrones universe; the frosty, undead and (presumably) immortal leader of the White Walkers. We've seen glimpses of his power thus far, notably in season 5's epic "Hardhome", but it's a scene from the previous season that prompted questions the show has not yet answered.

In the scene in question we see the Night's King touch a baby taken from the wildling Craster, turning it into a White Walker. So far, so sinister. It's a shocking moment and works well as the episodes closing scene - well, until you pause to think about it.

It's confusing really, because why would the White Walkers want babies? Of course, the natural answer is because they want more members for their undead army. But why a baby? We don't know if White Walkers age, but if so they will have to wait a decade (or more) for the baby to be of any use, and if they don't, the they have an undead baby for literally no reason at all.

When you can reanimate the corpses of the dead it doesn't make much sense to bother with tiny infants.
