10 Controversies That Rocked Game Of Thrones

9. Cutting A Major Character Out Of Season 5

One of the biggest problems in transitioning the world of Westeros from A Song of Ice and Fire to the screen has been dealing with time, and characters ageing. By cutting a major character completely out of Season 5 - Bran Stark, along with Hodor and the rest of his group - the producers are taking a major gamble.

For one, Bran (portrayed by Isaac Hempstead Wright) aged noticeably through the first four seasons of the show, and no longer looks like the boy once pushed from a tower window in Winterfell by Jamie Lannister. He's not going to be getting any younger either.

Also, with the number of intricate storylines the show weaves season to season, will viewers even remember the circumstances surrounding Bran's current situation? Will they be as invested in it, after it will have been out of sight, and therefore out of mind, for an entire season?

In short, cutting out Bran was not a popular move with a large segment of the fanbase, and may turn out to bite the producers in the backside in the end.
