10 Coolest Swords In Anime

5. Scissor Blade (Kill La Kill)

Dracule Mihawk
Trigger

Nothing puts a smile on my face as effectively as getting to talk about Studio Trigger's adrenaline shot in the form of an anime, Kill La Kill.

For those of you who still make the tired observation of how silly the keyblade from Kingdom Hearts is as a concept, I present to you the scissor blade. A blade that is literally in the form of one half of a pair of scissors. One is owned by Ryuko, while the other is owned by her arch enemy/sister Satsuki Kiryuin.

At first glance, the scissor blade seems like the dumbest concept on the planet. But like the rest of Kill La Kill's arguably silly ideas, once you see it in action, you tend to stop caring about what does and doesn't make sense.

While technically a normal sword - just forged in a weird way - when wielded by Ryuko and Satsuki, the scissor blade is a devastating weapon. One swing can rip through entire buildings like they were made out of paper. And without spoiling too much, things get particularly crazy when Ryuko and Satsuki actually put their swords together.
