4. The Spirit Sword (Yu Yu Hakusho)
When we first meet Kuwabara in Yu Yu Hakusho, you're not exactly told to think much of him. Even when he does get spiritual powers, they're incredibly minor and don't really help much in combat.
And then he whips out the spirit sword.
The spirit sword is a blade forged from Kuwabara focusing all of his spiritual energy into the palm of his hand and then stretching it out until it forms into a sword. This makes it the perfect reflection of Kuwabara's fighting style. Namely: hit it til it dies! But because it isn't made out of physical matter, Kuwabara can technically make it into whatever form he wants. From simply stretching it outward to hit enemies from far away, to morphing it into different shapes such as when he defeated the villain Toguro's seemingly invincible twin brother by turning the sword into a giant mallet and crushing him until there was nothing left.
And of course, when Kuwabara really gets into a pinch, he can summon an even more powerful version of the spirit sword known as the dimension sword, which can cleave through space and time like a hot knife through butter.
