10 Craziest Fan Theories About Family Guy

8. Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story Is An Allusion To 9/11

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2hxzbp The sheer number of conspiracy theories and allusions to the events of 9/11 can easily fill a novel. Proving that crazy theories can come from the least likely of places, some fans have suggested that the Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story film is actually an allusion to 9/11. Admittedly, there are some creepy coincidences between the film and some real-life events involving 9/11. Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane was actually booked on one of the planes that hit the Twin Towers and he only missed his flight because he was hungover. It was such an important event that fans thought that it was the direct inspiration for the film's plot of Stewie having a near-death experience. The film is peppered with snippets of dialogue that may or may not reference the falling towers such as "Well then, it seems there's only one thing to do... I must ensure that I never had the close call with that lifeguard tower in the first place", and "Yes! I did it! I stopped the tower from falling!" As a final cherry on top of a crazy cake, future-Stewie's address features the numbers '1109'. An allusion to 9/11 or just a series of coincidences? You can decide for yourself.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
