10 Craziest Fan Theories About Futurama

7. The Illuminati Are Hiding Messages In Futurama

Prison Planet Forum (a nutso conspiracy message board) poster disturbed_sistem doubled down on his spelling prowess with a theory that Futurama makes repeated reference to the date October 4, 2012, predicting that some sort of terrible event would occur on that day due to the machinations of the secret world-controlling cabal. To quote him (pardon the errors:
In the 5th episode Zap Dingbat (which aired on 7/11/12) there is a scene with pool balls that show the 9,11 and 7 balls then the next scene shows the 10 and the 4 balls, then the 2 bounces off a screen type thing causing a radioactive looking symbol to appear, and then pulsing out in a circle. In the 8th episode Fun On A Bun they say how it's July, and are going to wait for 3 months and go to Oktoberfest (which is going on now and finishes 7th October), with many illuminati images going on.
He goes on to cite several "examples" from The Simpsons as well, proving once and for all that the Illuminati are a) engineering events to shape the course of the world, and b) hiding clues about it in our animated television programs. Of course, nothing happened on October 4, 2012. Plausibility: Seriously?
