10 Craziest The Simpsons Fan Theories

6. Bart Was A Stonecutter Before Homer

The Simpsons
Fox

When Homer discovers his co-workers belong to an ancient society called the Stonecutters, he immediately wants to join. According to fellow Stonecutter, Lenny, the only way to enter the society is to be the son of a member or save a member's life. After Bart points out Abraham Simpson is a Stonecutter, Homer is welcomed into their ranks.

However, some attentive viewers pointed out Bart should have been accepted into the group before Homer, since he saved the life of a fellow Stonecutter, Mr Burns, with a blood transfusion in an earlier episode. Now, since we never see Bart in the lodge (or any children for that matter), one might assume kids cannot become members. But according to Lenny, there is no age limit to join the Stonecutters, meaning there is no reason why Bart shouldn't be allowed in.

The fact that Bart doesn’t seem the slightest bit surprised when Homer mentions the Stonecutters for the first time adds to this hypothesis that he's aware of the society's existence, not to mention the fact that he's a part of it.
