10 Crazy Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Theories

It would be frankly negligent to do an entire piece on crazy Picard season three theories without including a reference to the episode of The Next Generation that's literally called CONSPIRACY. It's almost like they planned this all along.

In amongst the teasers and trailers, it seems like there might some Starfleet on Starfleet fighting going on in Picard season three. One theory that was first picked up in the Trekyards live chat is that those bluegill parasitic organisms from the aforementioned Cronenbergian fever dream episode have returned to take over the Federation. Maybe its Vadic, maybe they just never left? In universe, there's a whole portion of the population that think that the return of the 'butt bugs,' is imminent. Those conspiracy theorists at the market on Tulgana IV were trying to warn us all the way back in 2381!

Obviously this is a ridiculous theory, and no one would believe it. Everyone at TrekCulture can go back to eating their insect larvae. All is well, honest!

There is one major problem that would also tend to rule out this theory. We've gone back over the trailer and done some strategic pausing on that Starfleet versus Starfleet bit, and it looks like the guy in the command uniform shooting an operations officer (the phaser is set-to-kill, by the way) is, you guessed it, none other than everyone's favourite Ed, Ed Speleers. Is it too late to rename the show at this point? Star Trek: Deep Space Speleers?
