10 Cringeworthy Doctor Who Moments

4. Colonel Archer's Dalek Disco Death - Resurrection Of The Daleks

Yeah, yeah, we know - it's not fair in a general list like this to take two examples of the exact same season (the Myrka appeared in Season 21, too) - but did you really think we would leave this one out? The end of Resurrection of the Daleks is pretty damned grim - heck, the entire story is - because it ends in an all-out massacre destroying Daleks and Dalek duplicates alike. This includes Colonel Archer (no relation to Sterling Archer) and his men, who by then have all been killed and replaced by creatures who act just like human beings. Except when they're exterminated. Or maybe this is just the case with Colonel Archer, because when his men are exterminated, they all scream and die, like you do, but he... he... Heh. Heh heh. Hee hee hee hee ha ha ha ha ha hah HAAAH! Sorry, sorry. Heh. He, um, he starts dancing. Or he has an epileptic fit, or something. Heh. Anyway, it's not a normal death. It's quite the embarrassing death, so much so that we couldn't even find a single YouTube video or GIF file of it - that's how much fans seem to want to completely disavow that it ever happened. But please, if you haven't seen it, go seek it out. We all could use a good laugh, even if it utterly destroys the tension of the scene.
