10 Deadliest Doctor Who Villains

5. Weeping Angels

The Vashta Nerada may be frightening, but they don't hold a candle to the Weeping Angels. The Doctor described these creatures as being "as old as the universe (or very nearly), but no one quite knows where they come from." He expanded on that a bit by saying they were "the deadliest, most powerful, most malevolent life-form evolution has ever produced."

That's a pretty high bar of evil the Doctor put out for them, and he was right. Weeping Angels exist in two distinct states. When they are observed, they are "quantum locked" and are essentially nothing more than statues.

Blink or look away, and they can move at lightning speeds. Interestingly, they don't often kill their victims — at least, not in the usual way. The Doctor mentioned that they are "the only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely," which is due to the fact that they send their victims back in time.

When this happens, they feed off the potential energy of that person's life had they remained in the present. To that end, the victim can live a long healthy life, though they will be out of their own time. Weeping Angels are vicious, frightening, and all but unstoppable.
