They've done Family Guy. They've done Futurama. Hell, they've even done Lego. So why not Doctor Who? The Simpsons has been going for years - decades even - and every viewer of Time Lord's adventures has seen and no doubt enjoyed their many references to Doctor Who over the years. Ironically (or maybe not), they are mostly linked with Comic Book Guy and the other similar styled characters, so fans know all too well that Matt Groening is a self confessed Whovian himself. So why no Doctor Who crossover? Considering The Simpsons has welcomed other franchises for an episode or two in its time, there is no dobt that this particular crossover couldn't and wouldn't happen. Maybe with a bit of luck and constant persuading (there's probably already a campaign somewhere), Doctor Who fans might just be in with a chance. Don't give up hope - the Doctor will make it to Springfield yet!
