Another business name that crops up throughout the Whoniverse is Magpie Electricals, which first appeared in the 2006 episode The Idiot's Lantern.

Run by Mr. Magpie, this London shop is hijacked by The Wire to help her siphon off people's electrical energy through television sets. Or, more accurately, to suck people's faces off.

Despite the original Magpie biting the dust in this episode, his company continued on, and reached some very interesting places that you likely didn't spot until repeat viewings.

Take The Beast Below for example, the second episode with Matt Smith at the helm. While wandering around Starship UK in the 33rd century, Amy Pond can be seen walking past a sign titled Magpie Electricals. Same logo and everything.

The Twelfth Doctor's guitar amp is a Magpie, and so is Wilfred Mott's TV in Voyage of the Damned.

Even Sarah Jane Smith had a Magpie computer in The Sarah Jane Adventures, and Magpie Electricals was still in business when the Monks took over the Earth in Series 10.

He might have been a scummy traitor, but you have to give Mr. Magpie credit for building a brand that lasted.
