10 Doctor Who Episodes You Completely Forgot Existed
9. Night Terrors - Mark Gatiss
Night Terrors is a weird one. The episode isn't a stinker by any means, but trying to remember what actually happened during those 45 minutes can be a challenge.
Most people will associate this episode with one of two scenes, Amy and the landlord turning into genuinely rather unnerving peg dolls, or the sweet ending in which George is rescued by his dad - two moments that happen within the closing ten to fifteen minutes.
For the bulk of this episode, the plot trudges along, not entirely sure what to do with Amy and Rory whilst the Doctor handles the meatier plot.
Of course, this isn't to say that slow-paced, character focused episodes are a bad thing, just look at Vincent And The Doctor, but they need the emotional weight and strong dialogue to carry the audience through the long periods of inactivity. Night Terrors, unfortunately, does not. Those dolls get an A+ on the spooky list though.
