10 Doctor Who Episodes You Didn’t Know Were Connected

9. Kill The Moon & Dark Water

The ballad of Danny Pink is not a particularly fun song to sing.

The soldier-turned-teacher-turned-boyfriend-turned-Cyberman-turned-dead is dealing with the traumas of war when we first meet him in Series 8, but things get much worse for him when he's hit by a car in the episode Dark Water.

Danny's death seemingly came out of nowhere, but to those paying extra close attention during the episode Kill the Moon, it shouldn't have been as shocking.

While talking to Clara about danger, the Doctor reels off a list of everyday activities that can get you killed. The list includes eating chips... and crossing the road. Three guesses for what Danny was doing when he died.

Did the Doctor somehow know about Clara's boyfriend's impending demise? Was this a thinly-veiled warning?

It's a pretty out-there theory, but the fact that the Doctor mentioned the exact manner of Danny's death just a few episodes before it went down is quite the coincidence.
